Pieljekaise National Park
Pieljekaise National Park protects low mountains where herb-rich meadows and extensive mountain birch woodland connect valleys with open uplands. Birch covers two-thirds of the park, and the twin summit of Bieljijgájse gives the mountain its Sámi name, “ear peaks”.
